Olympus Sashiko threads are imported from Japan and are of the very highest quality. 100% cotton sashiko threads like these differ from other embroidery-type treads because they are not made to be divided, have multiple very fine plies and no sheen, and are pre-shrunk. They're great for everything from heirloom art pieces, to useful everyday objects, to boro style mending and beyond. The smaller skeins contain 20 meters of thread, and the larger (which only come in white and ecru) contain 100 meters.
